ABOUT THE E-CLUB
The USC Entrepreneur Club was resurrected in the fall of 2002 by A.J. Nagaraj and Samira Asemanfar, both undergraduate students at the Marshall School of Business. Envisioning the organization as one that would transcend disciplinary borders that traditionally prevented non-business students from experiencing entrepreneurship, the founders garnered interest throughout campus. That year, its most successful event, An Evening with David Bohnett, was held in January of 2003 and featured the founder and former CEO of Geocities.com.

Unfortunately, in the fall semester of 2003, its original driving force was called to other areas of study and was unable to keep up its previous momentum. At this point, the USC Entrepreneur Club was not recognized as a Marshall Student Organization due to its inactivity.

However, the need for an organization that understood and supported the entrepreneurial spirit was readily recognized. An undergraduate, Courtney Thurman, approached A.J. Nagaraj with the intent to relaunch the organization and lead it to even greater successes and sustained legacy. Courtney recruited a new Executive Board, and with a great team, relaunched the USC Entrepreneur Club in Spring Semester 2004. After presenting over 12 quality events, recruiting over 100 members and nominated for numerous Marshall Recognition Awards, the USC Entrepreneur Club was awarded Marshall's "Most Improved Organization".

In Fall 2004, former VP of Public Relations Ashlee Gardner joined Thurman as Co-Presidents of the club. By continuing to raise the bar with events featuring prominent speakers and dynamic workshops, the club became the Largest Organization in the Marshall School of Business. The USC Entrepreneur Club, while an independent student organization, operates with the assistance of The Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at the Marshall School of Business.
